Bonetti is an actual swordsman. Rocco Bonetti was a master fencer, and his name has been previously borrowed in The Princess Bride:

Capo Ferro is another of these, I think there is a character in GW named similarly for whom you act as a guard on the quest to kill a brigand (Possibly Farrah Capo? They're really shameless)?

I know, they're listed under "The Old Gods".
But maybe they added/will add "The New Gods"

My monk is an atheist monk. he thinks all those monks that believe in that balthazar guy are really just wasting a lot of time going to the monastery and doing all their rituals and stuff. Don't get me wrong, rituals can be beneficial, but not when they involve killing rabbits.

top of the page, beyonces

I don't know if this is off-topic from the original post, but as an interesting note, in addition to statues of gods, there are also shrines. My wife and myself were wandering through D'Alesso Seaboard, when we noticed a semi-hidden path that lead to a bunch of ancient oakhearts. After killing them, we found a shrine of Melandru, as well as a broken bridge to an area that looked almost like a small town. The lore on Melandru from her statue in Regent Valley, said that she turned a tribe into those oakhearts to protect nature. Is it possible that little town was where that tribe first came about?

p.s. there is no way that we can see to get to that town. Anyone else have any luck?

LOL

Rodgort isn't a god, it's an easter egg:P

http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail58.html

TROGDOR!!! TROGDOR!!!
Trogdor was a man
I mean, he was a dragon-man
Or, maybe he was just a dragon
But he was still...
TROGDOR!!! TROGDOR!!!
Burninating the countryside
Burninating the peasants
Burninating all the people
And their thatched-roofed cottages
THATCHED-ROOFED COTTAGES!!!
And then Trogdor comes in the NIIIIIIGHT!!!

_Zexion, worshipper of Rodgort, the reverse Trogdor:P

EDIT: What do I get for pointing this out?

So we have Trogdor the Burninator, a few classical fencing masters, and a reference to Evil Dead: Army of Darkness... Klaatu Verata Nictu! Which comes from the classic film The Day the Earth Stood Still

If he gets a cookie for Trogdor I want one for spotting the fencers and movie reference...

Trogdor definitely makes sense as a god of fire.

Actually, it's "Klatu Verata Nicto/N¤¤(#/&¤(/&¤(".
Yeah, great movie.
But I must have been so cracked up by people regarding Trogdor for a god, just because of a single skill in GW:P
